Philips Lumec has achieved ISO 14001 : 2004 certification, recognizing the positive environmental impact of the company’s activities and its commitment to constantly improve its practices. ISO 14001 : 2004 is an international standard measuring the actions taken by a company to manage and reduce its environmental footprint through a clear and detailed plan of continuous improvement.
“As an organization, every employee is dedicated to the highest standards of sustainable development and we constantly strive to apply our green philosophy to all areas of the business,” said Jean-Francois Simard, Philips Lumec CEO. “From the acquisition of raw material to product design and catalog printing to luminaires packaging, everything is made to use resources responsibly and to avoid residual waste. Buying policies, manufacturing processes, and delivery methods are also optimized to reduce impact on the environment.”
Cities, architects, and decision makers are more conscious of the impact that their choices will have on the environment, which make Philips Lumec products and technologies all the more relevant, as they meet the most demanding standards, both in manufacturing quality and performance, as well as environmental responsibility.
