A Brighter Tomorrow

Last week I attended the Brighter Tomorrow Conference co-sponsored by the Ville de Montréal and Hydro Québec. 70 municipal electric engineers, lighting engineers and project leaders from more than 20 municipalities across the province of Quebec attended the conference. The main objective was to share with them the results highlighted in The Climate Group’s 2012 report Lighting the Clean Revolution: The rise of LEDs and what it means for cities authored by The Climate Group and LightSavers Canada. It concludes that outdoor LED luminaires designed for neighborhood streets, urban expressways, and parking areas and garages, have now reached market maturity.[...]

Top 10 Most Popular Philips Lumec Luminaires for 2012

LED luminaires are gaining in popularity. Philips Lumec reveals their top 10 luminaires for 2012. Interestingly, 9 out of 10 are either exclusively LED or LED compatible luminaires. The Helios (#4) is the only one to offer conventional lighting only.
